I turned to one of the twin grandlads ready to explain who he was, asking if he knew (and more than suspecting he wouldn’t)…imagine my utter shock when he didn’t hesitate and said, ” Turkey”. (Remember the Minister of Silly Walks, John Cleese?)īut one leader he was mocking was Erdogan, whose name was above. He got each one just right and we were howling with laughter. I’m pretty certain it happened overnight.Īt “b for d”, I showed them a funny video of a man from I’m sure Eastern Europe, mimicking the walks of various “leaders”. They were HUGE!!! I looked at them and they looked like violin cases! When we went inside there they were, towering over me like incredible hulks, but fitter. Anyway, we went in through her garage, and outside were two pairs of shoes, one for each lad. We had breakfast for dinner last night with our daughter and her three teens, whom we see little of now that life is demanding more of them (sob). I know you treasure those moments with him in the car on the way to school, the most precious there are. I always tell ours nearest every year on the first day of school that while the year ahead looks eternally long, in “24 hours” we’ll all be asking how did it go by so fast? And it does. That’s a God given bond you can’t put a price on.
